Bones Nigrido

s Qwyfyx crossed stone bridges and climbed steep rocky slopes. There were times when he thought he had become lost, others when he was forced to backtrack from a dead end. Eventually, just as he felt he must surely be reaching the surface, the light from the serpent's eyes began to fade. Sensing that he might need the wand's remaining power, Qwyfyx uttered a spell, extinguishing it altogether.

Ka-foom!
Painstakingly, he made his way through the labyrinth until at last, far off in the distance, he could see a faint glimmer of light. He felt a slight draught, stale and rank. The earth beneath his feet became soft and squishy and, with every footstep, a foul, fungal odour issued forth. It was much colder here and the dampness crept into his bones. He heard rattlings, squelches and slurping sounds, and he shuddered when something slimy slid down the back of his neck.

he lion It seemed to take forever, but at last Qwyfyx came to the point where the light was entering the cave. A clammy hand clutched at his pounding heart as he pointed his wand at the small crack in the wall. There were murmurings and gibberings behind him and Midnight began to wail as Qwyfyx summoned his mightiest spell. He uttered the words with power and clarity and, in the brilliant flash that followed, all of his deepest fears were illuminated. Before him, the wall of the crypt exploded into a thousand fragments, giving way to the golden rays of the sun.
